Seed Change is a non-profit organisation working with smallholder farmers to reduce poverty through increased sustainable agricultural production in Tanzania.
In the Kigoma region of Tanzania over 30,000 smallholder farmers derive the majority of their income from cultivating oil palm trees and extracting and selling palm oil. Despite cultivating a very lucrative crop, the vast majority of farmers and their families live in poverty and rely on agriculture to carve out a subsistence living. Seed Change collaborates with local government, other NGOs, and the private sector to achieve our goal of lifting farmers out of poverty.
We are committed to farmers and their families, it starts and ends with them.
Seed Change Tanzania is lucky to be supported by a group of volunteers outside of Tanzania.
The Agricultural Improvement Fund provides fundraising support and advice to our in-country team.
