What is Give for a Goal?

Having trouble motivating yourself to stick to those New Year’s Resolutions? Well, you + a bit of science + Seed Change = success!

Research shows that a bit of money on the line makes people better and sticking to their plans. Give for a Goal is the perfect way to incentivize your journey. Pledge a weekly donation and set a time-frame to achieve your goal (ex: $10/week for 2 months). Seed Change will help you track your progress and encourage you to stick with it.

At the end if you have achieved your goal Seed Change will give you half your money back! The other half goes to our farmers. You've quit smoking, lifted people out poverty and get a bit of cash back! But... if you fail, all the money goes to the farmers. So you are still smoking but twice as many farmers are on their way out of poverty. So that's not too shabby either!

Start your G&G journey by choosing a goal. Goals that are specific, measurable and attainable are more likely to succeed.

Select a weekly “give” amount for the period of time you think it will take to achieve your goal. Every week we’ll automatically take that amount out of your account and put it into a separate pool until your time is over. Don’t worry, if you succeed we’ll refund 50% of your pot!

Your G&G Journal
As part of the G&G team, we ask you to fill in a short journal entry each week to keep track of your progress. It only takes 5 minutes to complete!

Get a friend to join
Nominate someone to join your G&G journey. It can be a friend, family member or coworker that you can share the experience with. Research shows that goals shared between more than one person have a higher success rate.

 

At the end of your timeline, we’ll contact you to see if you have fully achieved your goal. If you were successful, we will return 50% of your cash, if not, it all goes to the farmers!
